My Personal Tour of Ken Block's Exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum

"People's Champ: The Impact of Ken Block" Entrance

On Setpember 28, 2025; I had the honor and pleasure of finally attending "People's Champ: The Impact of Ken Block" exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA. It was a truly jaw-dropping experience to see Ken Block's legendary machines, and the stories behind them all in one space curated by those closest to him. The full walkthrough captures a slice of the experience I will never forget so upi can see plenty more of my favorite moments after the jump.

Right behind the poster introducing the exhibit was the Hoonitruck, front and center. A phenomenal build featured in multipiple Gymkhana and Climbkhana videos. From the poster above, I decided to move counterclockwise and moved from right to left as my favorite build, the Hoonipigasus was to the right and across the Hoonitruck.

Ken Block's Hoonipigasus

As I had already menentioned, the Hoonipigasus is my favorite of all his cars. He was able to take so many things that I love and combine them into one epic machine. A Porsche slammed to the ground with an extra wide bodukit, massive aero bits, extra wide wheels and tires... I could go on and on! It was personally devastating for me to never be able to see himrun this up the Pike's Peak Hillclimb, however it was genunely amazing to see that his daughter Lia Block took on the challenge in his honor the following year.

Ken Block's Hoonicorn

This vehicle is my second favorite of his builds. Made for Gymkhana 7, Ken once again brought so many things that I loved into one car. An extra wide '65 Ford Mustang with and extra wide body kit. He really went full punk rock skater and went against the grain for this car. What made it all the more special was that it was made to hoon across my hometown of Los Angeles, CA. I'm genuinely happy to have finally seen, in my personal opinion, the greatest Mustang ever built.

Ken Block's Other Builds; Before, Between, and Beyond

The following pictures, in no particular order, highlight all of Ken's builds throughout the years. He had a certain style and approach to make every single one unique and highlighted them even more during his time at Hoonigan. I can clearly remember my friends at East Los Angeles College showing me the first Gymkhana video he made. It was literally combining a skater style video with motorsports, and since I love both, it was the perfect art form that felt like it was designed for individuals like me. From then on, I became a fan of his on and off track.
